How to write-off a loan account.

A sacco staff member (with the appropriate user-role permissions) can write off a member loan account through the following steps:

  1. Log into
  2. On the member page, scroll down to the member list & click on any member whose account is in an active/inactive status 
  3. On a member’s profile, click on any of their active loans account to open the account
  4. On the loans account page, click on the More, then writeoff 
  5. A mandatory narration is required before account write-off, a modal will pop up with an input field for the narration
  6. Click on the close button
  7. The loans account will change state from active to closed (writeoff)
  8. The loans account will now appear under the filtered list - written off
