How to use the loans overview metric dashboard.

A sacco staff member (with the appropriate user-role permissions) can view the loans overview metric dashboard(s) through the following steps:

Go to the loans page, at the top of the page, one can view the overview metrics for the sacco’s loans’ portfolio:

  • Gross loan portfolio - sum total of all sacco loans

  • Portfolio at risk - sum total of member accrued interest

  • Outstanding amounts - Sum total of loans outstanding

  • Late repayments - Number of loans that are late

These metrics are meant to inform at a glance how the sacco’s loan portfolio is performing

  • To see the overall metrics for an individual loans account:

  • Scroll down to the loans account list and click on a member with an account in active status

At the top of the loans account page you will see the overview metrics for that account, this includes:

  • Principal amount - The total principal amount of the loan

  • Principal balance - The principal amount remaining to be paid

  • Interest amount - Total interest amount due on the loan

  • Interest balance - Interest amount remaining to be paid

  • Loan product - The loan product type 

  • Interest rate - The loans’ interest rate

  • Duration - Scheduled total duration (of months/years) to pay of the loan

  • Repayment frequency - Number of times the loans repayment are made per unit of time
